Who is Mehdi Mohebi?

I am Mehdi Mohebi, director and founder of Tik advertising agency.

I was born in 1369, but I have been working and experiencing almost half of my life, and I think that what has made me grow and gain the trust of my clients until today is my various experiences in different work spaces. High School and experience of starting my income

I studied mathematics, but right after the end of the pre-university course and a month before the entrance exam, I decided to go to a soft university because I felt that the university was not a place where I wanted to progress. It was with this thought that I made one of the biggest decisions of my life at a young age, and because of family’s opposition, I did not take the entrance exam and entered the job market. I must say that even today I do not regret this decision; Because I see that apart from effective personal relationships, the university has not given any special experience for the job market to my colleagues in my field of activity, and at least for me personally, work experience has been as effective as years of education.

One year after high school and my first career success

If you remember, about 14, 15 years ago, the market for network-based businesses was extremely hot. Like many people at that time, I entered the network and fortunately I was able to achieve many successes until one year after my activity in the network I was able to earn a very good income and open my own office; But, as you probably know, network-based businesses were shut down due to the events they experienced due to the performance of some network groups, and I, like many others, left this system.

From isolation to community

But my achievements from the network system were more related to skill development than financial results. Mehdi was a quiet and isolated boy during his school days and before working in the network, whose biggest offense was only walking in the park facing the school. But during the time of working in the network, he got acquainted with his own hidden abilities and potentials in the discussion of negotiation and public relations. To the extent that the reason for my rapid progress was that in the group where I was working, that lonely boy became the best presenter among 400 people a year ago, who had the ability to communicate with many experts, and besides, he even taught his friends. was giving But in the end, anyway, I left the network system and went to my next job.

Where there is interest, there is growth

In those days, I was working in a company that was trying to buy files related to the information of construction companies or manufacturers who had buildings under construction and the activities of sales forces, building security systems such as iPhone, parking jack, systems Sell fire alarm, CCTV, etc. to them. But the problem was that there was no company to provide the file and information of shops and stores for the sale of electric shutters and other protection systems.
That’s why the manager of the company decided to entrust me with the collection of information about the stores for the sale of electric shutters, and that’s where I got my first experience and activity in the field of advertising and of course marketing in a style that would remain in the mind of the customer and my personal brand was different from the rest of the visitors. OK, I experienced it. And that was nothing but a visit with a skate in the city of Tehran. I had installed a big map of Tehran in my office, and I used to go back and forth in Tehran with my skateboard for kilometers and go to shops from Tajrish to the railway, from Tehran, Pars to Janat Abad and… a business card and a I would give a brief introduction of what we were going to do for them and collect their business information.
The funny thing that used to happen was that when the company’s sales force called them, we saw that the skater boy made them remember our business.

From skating to be technical manager of the company

The experience of measuring the city of Tehran with skates and trying to attract customers finally made me take the position of technical manager in the same protective products company and I was responsible for warehouse control, contract management, etc. and after that I became the technical manager of the company and the management of the projects was completely my responsibility after the contract was closed. The experience of technical management of contracts strengthened my skills such as planning and management, persuasion, negotiation, etc., because I had to work with different people involved in the project, including the project owner, installer, etc. I was confused.

Marketing protection systems with skates

In total, I worked in that company for 2 years and 6 months after I reached the position of technical manager, I decided to resign from that job; Because messing with manufacturers was not very attractive to me and my choice was to do what I was interested in. Since I was about 12 years old, I really liked photography, Photoshop and film making. At that time, I used to take photos and videos with a compact camera, and wherever I could get an Indian camera, we would make different videos with our friends at home. It is true that the release of my edits at that age failed miserably, but those days were the starting point for making today’s Mehdi.

The funeral that became a spark to change the direction of my life

At the end of the time when I was in the protection systems company, one of my relatives died and at the end of the ceremony, a video clip of the deceased’s photos was played with a music by Mr. Moin, which I thought was interesting at that time and I was asked, I can do this very easily, but I had never thought of doing it before? The interesting thing was that at the time, the editor had taken a lot of money to make that clip.
That is, in 2013, our family paid about 250 thousand tomans for the production of that clip, while I was paid about 700 thousand tomans for a month, while it took me a total of 2 hours to prepare that clip. It was here that a spark was struck in my mind that I can enjoy and earn more by doing what I am very interested in.

But while I was continuing my previous job, in the background of my mind this matter kept flashing that…

A chicken farm that changed my destiny

The owner of the company where I was working had a chicken farm that he had decided to close for some reason, and by chance someone wanted to rent the closed chicken farm for a movie location for a few months. . When the manager of that company went to sign a contract with the director, she gave him an idea, why don’t you use this good space for the hall garden? That’s why our manager decided to change the use of the place to a hall garden, and I asked Samajet to join the design and construction team of the hall garden.Although this request of mine was strongly opposed by the sales manager and other colleagues of the company; But in any case, I convinced the others and finally said goodbye to the company and joined the colleagues who were working on building the hall garden. I remember at that time they even offered me to double my salary and pay me a significant amount in order for me to stay in the company. But since I always thought about enjoying what I do before money, I resisted.

But why did I go to the garden?

The day I planned to work with the Talar garden team, I had only one dream, goal and motivation, and that was nothing except that after the operation of my Talar garden, in the studio unit, work related to photography and videography of brides and grooms who I will take charge of coming to the garden.

The bomb that exploded in my dreams

The manager of one of the ceremonies that was supposed to cooperate with Bagh Talar, when he realized my goal and that I wanted to have a studio in Bagh Talar, he revealed to me the fact that I just realized my mistake in choosing my goal. He believed that whoever comes and pays a huge fee to rent this hall garden, his chosen studio is definitely somewhere in the north of Tehran city and not a newly established studio in the middle of a garden in Shahriar, Tehran. It was there that a bucket of cold water was mercilessly dumped on my dreams.
However, that friend suggested me to set up a mobile studio to photograph guests in the garden and events. Right at that moment, even though I agreed that it would be better to start a mobile workshop in the hall garden, but the thought that it is time for me to leave the garden system was also in my mind, and finally our mobile workshop started working.

Working with Alfred's team and changing my destiny

Those days, a group under personal management named Alfred was building a Roman-style facade with Unolite and cement in Bagh Talar garden, and we were looking for a tasteful and experienced photographer for Atelier Siyar, whose work was of better quality than the previous photographer of Atelier Siyar. Be more professional. In the meantime, I met Aziz Nazanin Karmi, who was one of the members of Alfred’s team, and from those days until today, Nazanin became one of the main members of Tik advertising agency, and of course later, the most important person in my life. Nazanin and I went through the steps of personal growth and the progress and development of our business together.
From the first days when we went to professional photo and video editing training courses together, to the later stages when we tried to implement creative ideas in our business and overcome the challenges that every business faces. Let’s go back.

Sharpness of my senses and gaining experience in garden hall

One of the important things that I did during the activity of Atelier Siyar in Bagh Talar was that during the ceremony, I focused on the type of interactions of the camera crews that were with the bride and groom, the make-up and arrangement of the camera crew, the techniques that were used. what they were doing, the model of the equipment they were using, etc., and this made me learn a lot of things just by looking at them and make a decent growth. Many times, this observation caused me to ask questions that I either asked the videographer team or Google.

Finally, after some time, I fully realized the dream that had been in my mind for a long time and said goodbye to the hall garden as a garden supervisor, and we opened our first official studio in Velanjak area together with Nazanin. 2-3 years of filming wedding ceremonies continued until we made a new decision to develop and grow our business.

Providing new services and new experiences with Kasra Asadi

Since the beginning of our work, we have been doing projects such as modeling photography, industrial and advertising photography, etc., and these activities made us open a good place for ourselves in the advertising community and establish good communication. In fact, from the third year of our activity, we also entered into advertising activities, and from one point on, we stopped working on wedding ceremonies and put all our focus and energy on providing advertising services, especially content production and activity on Instagram. Of course, in these days, a new and stable member named Kasri Asadi also joined the group of Tik children.
Kasri was responsible for data analysis and project analysis to achieve the best results and of course the most principled way in our company, and besides Kasri, fortunately, we were also able to gain good experiences in different industries, from modeling and clothing to the food industry and sweets From the machinery of the wood industry to the documentation of the tour of classic cars and… Of course, in this regard and with our experience in advertising, the ceremonial institutions that knew us did not fall behind the caravan and this time in a different way with us. They cooperated and many prominent ceremonies such as Daniyal’s luxurious mansion entrusted us with the work of advertising and making their own promotional teasers.

Our first experience among the beauty industry activists was making a teaser for one of the instructors of nail planting and design training, which luckily this teaser went viral in a very short time in the virtual space and this experience made us take the next steps among the industry activists.
